Silicone seal, which is also called silicone gasket, silicone sealing ring, is a flexible sealing component molded from silicone rubber like VMQ, LSR,RTV and FVMQ. It is installed between two joint surfaces to block leakage of gas, liquid, dust or moisture, and prevent external contaminants from entering assembly gaps.

At room temperature, dry, no chemical exposure,Silicone seals can keep soft and intact for 5–10 years or longer with barely obvious hardening/cracking.but in Harsh environments, the aging of silicone seal will accelerate rapidly.
